Encore Employment Southern Alberta offers customized employment training and services for individuals aged 45 and older in the Medicine Hat area. Participate in targeted workshops, receive personalized coaching, and connect with local employers. Leverage your experience and skills to confidently re-enter the workforce with our support to guide you every step of the way.

ETHOS operates the WorkBC Centre in Duncan and Ladysmith, offering FREE government-funded employment services to help job seekers explore career options and enhance their skills.

QWORKS is a FREE 20-week Skills Training for Employment Program, assisting members of British Columbia’s 2SLGBTQ+ community facing multiple barriers to find sustainable employment.   

The QWORKS Program is delivered in a hybrid model combining live online classes with self-paced learning, and features content specifically tailored to the experiences and needs of 2SLGBTQ+ individuals. QWORKS also includes one-on-one coaching, including referrals to personal supports, employment placements, and on-the-job training.

Gray Skills is a Skills Training for Employment program for mature workers with disabilities who reside on Vancouver Island. This FREE program is delivered virtually, and offers a community-focused, dual-track approach, incorporating foundational skills training and pre-employment preparation. The training is tailored based on individual needs, offering either employment or self-employment programming to best suit each participant. 

Business Works Central Alberta is a provincially sponsored (in partnership with the federal government) FREE 26-week self-employment training program designed to help people shift from unemployment to self-employment in Central Alberta. This program ensures that new business start-ups have comprehensive business plans able to withstand challenging economic conditions and remain economically viable in the long term.

Skills Quest for Young Adults is a FREE online training program, focusing on the nine Skills for Success identified by the Government of Canada as required by today’s employers and essential in the workplace.

Funded by the Government of Canada through the Canada-British Columbia Workforce Development Agreement.

Entrepreneurs on the Rise offers women in British Columbia the chance to create, develop, and either launch a new business or grow an existing one. We understand the unique challenges faced by women, particularly those with barriers to traditional employment. This FREE program, presented by ETHOS in partnership with Community Futures British Columbia, is designed to support women entrepreneurs, including those with disabilities.

This project is funded by the Government of Canada’s Opportunities Fund for Persons with Disabilities.

Inclusive Employers helps employers hire persons with disabilities.

Employers can access interactive web-based training and resources to learn how to interview, hire, and retain Persons with Disabilities.

Our current agreement encompasses an array of essential services, including expert Resume & Cover Letter Preparation, Job Search Skills Services to enhance employability, and Individualized Job Placement Services to match candidates with the right opportunities. We take pride in delivering Customized Vocational Rehabilitation Services that prioritize each client’s unique requirements, fostering a supportive environment for their successful rehabilitation and return to the workforce. Moreover, our team collaborates with industry experts to provide unparalleled Psycho-Vocational Assessments and Business Feasibility Assessments. These services, a step above the rest, ensure our clients receive the highest standard of support to achieve their vocational goals effectively and sustainably.
