Youth Mean Business

Youth Mean Business provides financial assistance, training, advice and support to eligible individuals living in the Victoria Capital Regional District. This Government funded pilot program is designed to provide the tools needed to take a business idea and develop it into a viable venture. If you or a youth (18-29) you know has a business idea and would benefit from expert training and support, Youth Mean Business can help.

Participants are given free access to a wide range of practical support tools and entrepreneurial expertise. Ongoing support includes:

  • One-on-one access to a Business Coach to prepare for the challenges of starting a new venture
  • Access to business plan templates that will help assess and strengthen the viability of an idea, whether it is for a retail outlet, a service based business or an importing/exporting concept
  • Leading-edge online and in-person training, which can be tailored for the individual
  • Opportunities to be mentored by successful entrepreneurs in the local community
  • Up to 6 months to complete and present a business plan
